Course Content
During the course, you will cover:

Machine controls and safe manoeuvring

Training is delivered in a practical and easy-to-understand way to help candidates build confidence throughout the course.
Course Duration
Course length depends on previous experience and ability.
Recommended Duration:
(Max 4 candidates per course)
Novice: 2-4 Days
Intermediate: 2 Days
Experienced Worker Test: ½ Day (no training beforehand)

Assessment
Candidates will complete:

A theory assessment - consists of 25 multiple choice questions.

Practical assessment
If any candidates experience difficulties with reading or writing, please let us know so we can assist them appropriately.
Successful candidates will receive a Lantra certificate of training.
Achievement
Once candidates have passed both the theory and practical assessments they will achieve the 5 year Lantra photo card.
Refresher training is recommended within 5 years to keep your skills current.

A - Yes, we specialise in 1-to-1 training, giving you maximum machine time and dedicated instructor support.
Q - Will I Receive a Lantra Card or Certificate?
A - Since April 2025, Lantra has charged for physical cards and certificates, so these are no longer issued free of charge.
Lantra cards: We automatically order a physical Lantra card for each category completed, at a cost of £5 +VAT per card. This is the fee charged to us by Lantra.
Physical certificates: If you would like a printed Lantra certificate, these are available at £10 +VAT per certificate. You must request this before we book your course with Lantra, as cards and certificates need to be ordered when the course is booked.
eCertificates: Lantra eCertificates are available free of charge. These can be downloaded and printed yourself if you would prefer a certificate without the additional cost.
Please note that Lantra issues a separate card or certificate for each category completed. If you complete more than one category, you will receive a separate card for each category, and any physical certificates requested will also be issued separately.
Q - How long is a Lantra card valid for?
A - Successful candidates will receive a Lantra card which is valid for 5 years.
