
Lantra Telescopic Handler


We provide Lantra Telehandler training in Devon, Cornwall and the wider Southwest, with courses available for beginners, experienced operators, and companies.
Who is this course for?
This course is for candidates of all abilities who wish to learn to operate the Telescopic Handler.
Course Aims
To provide thorough theory and practical training in operating the telehandler, to enable the candidate to pass the Lantra theory and practical tests.
How long is the course?
Recommended Duration:
(Max 3 candidates per course)
Novice: Up to 5 Days
Intermediate: 2 Days
Experienced Worker Test: ½ Day (no training beforehand)
What will I learn on the course?
To pass the test, you must successfully carry out the following activities:

Carry out pre-start checks.

Prepare the telehandler for site and road travel.

Travel over varying terrain, both in a loaded and unloaded state.

Manoeuvre in confined areas using forward and reverse direction, in a loaded and unloaded state.

Prepare the telehandler to lift various loads.
-
Lift and place various loads within the full working range of the telescopic material handler.

Ensure load integrity and security.

Place and retrieve loads accurately at various places.
-
Place and retrieve loads from a vehicle bed or trailer.
-
Keep within safe working parameters.
-
Place the telehandler in the safe park position.
Is there a test?
Candidates will complete a theory and practical test.
The theory test consists of 25 multiple choice questions.
If any candidates experience difficulties with reading or writing, please let us know so we can assist them appropriately.
Achievement
Once you have passed and completed the course you will receive a 5 year Lantra photo card for Telescopic Handler.
Refresher training is recommended within 5 years to keep your skills current.
